3 Ways To Feel Your Best

 

At Pure Healers, we often say how you feel on the inside will determine what you'll accomplish in your day.

 

When someone is lit up, feeling good about themselves, and embracing who they are - it shows. More than any product, any inspirational quote, any diet - The #1 thing that allows someone to accomplish great things is how they feel.

 

But sometimes "feeling good" is easier said than done.

 

What if you're worn out, or tired, or stressed? What if life has been well, life, and you haven't had a lot of time to focus on your health? How do you get from feeling defeated to conquering life?

 

Sometimes we all need a little help to get the momentum rolling.

 

Here are some things I've found help me feel full of energy - including tricks I've learned from my yoga instructors and even Pure Healers customers over the years.

 



Practice Deep Breathing.

 

If you're not breathing properly, you're robbing yourself of an incredible amount of energy. Believe it or not, our breathing can impact our focus, mental clarity, ability to stay present, productivity, immune system function, stress, and more!

 

Since oxygen is the breath of life, it's rocket fuel for the body and mind.

Here's a simple breathing exercise that you can practice in just one minute.

 

Literally.

 

It's been shown that your body can respond to this technique in 60 seconds.

 

This technique is based on breathing at a 10-second rhythm - 5 seconds inhaling following by 5 seconds exhaling.

 

How to perform this technique:

Complete at least x6 rounds of 10-second rhythm cycles (Remember: each full cycle = 1 inhale + exhale)

 

First Step: Focus on your breathing, connect with the inflow and outflow as it is naturally, right now in the moment.

 

Second Step: Begin to slow your breath and deepen it slightly by belly breathing.

 

Third Step: Inhale for 5 counts

 

Fourth Step: Exhale for 5 counts.

 

Fifth Step: Repeat the third and fourth steps a minimum of six times.

 

Drink Plenty of Fluids.

 

 

We all know that it's important to drink water. We've been given this advice since we were young to drink eight glasses of water a day. But most people in society are not drinking the proper fluids.

 

Your body requires water to transport oxygen to your cells. If your body is deprived of sufficient water you'll feel worn out or get headaches. Water will also help reduce stress, cleanse your body of toxins, speed up your metabolism and so much more.

 

Health authorities recommend eight 8-ounce glasses of water, which equals about 2 liters, or half a gallon. This is called the 8x8 rule.

 

Practice Yoga.

 

Whether you're a man or a woman, yoga can provide a retreat from the chaos that life can throw your direction. There are so many different yoga types of yoga you can practice. A couple of my personal favorites are Yin & Kundalini Yoga. Find one that fits your desires and try to practice it at least 15 minutes everyday.
